For as long as I can remember I have seen fly fishers on tv
and thought to myself, “wow, how awesome is that?!” Especially when they land a
fish, it looks like such a rush! So far this year I have already tried ocean
fishing, which I had never done. I’m excited to try this new type of fishing
(to me), a type of fishing that I have always wanted to try. Luckily I crossed
paths with one of my first blog followers, Mark over at Northern California Trout.
As soon as I asked him if he wanted to go fishing, he brought up the idea of
fly fishing! As I told him, I am beyond excited to try it out! I’m going to be
doing the type of fishing that I have only seen on tv (and other peoples blogs,
haha). The plan is for this Sunday so I will definitely take pictures and let
you all know how it goes.
Glad you crossed paths with Mark. Always fun to share angling techniques and strategies with another angler. Looking forward to a post of your adventure fly fishing with Mark.
ReplyDeleteI am too! I will post that as soon as I can. Thanks for reading!
DeleteI bet you could learn a lot froom Mark. Can't wait to see what comes of it.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely! The man is an expert! Plus I have never done that much trout fishing. Looking forward to meeting him and learning from him.

ReplyDeleteLook out once the fly rod takes over, your bass fishing will suffer with the casting and spinning reels. Nothing like landing any kind of fish on the fly rod. Listen to Mark he can teach you a thing or two about fly fishing.
Hey Bill, I sure did learn a lot from Mark! I am waiting for a specific rod to go on sale and then I will begin fly fishing all the time!
